Portal students are encouraged to find their passions inside and out of the classroom. One way to do this is to start your own club! Examples include the Portal Cooking Club, Gardening Club and Dungeons and Dragons Club. Students also have the opportunities to sign up for activities like rock climbing, kayaking and beach bike rides.

Adventure Club
Adventure Club provides four outdoor excursions a year. These include kayaking, hiking, beach bike riding, and rock climbing. It's an opportunity for students to enjoy the outdoors together while challenging themselves with new activities.
Outschool
We have partnered with Outschool, an online learning platform that allows students to pursue their interests, passions, and goals. Whether students take a coding class during their elective time or sign up for a specialty class on a flex day, students’ exercise their voice and choice. With over 200,000 classes on Outschool, there is something from everyone!
TED-Ed
The TED-Ed community houses a network of thousands of groups in schools and educational organizations around the world, all working to spark and celebrate the ideas of students! Students engage in a series of Explorations designed to help each participant present an amazing Student Talk on an idea that inspires them. Students will develop skills in:
• Identifying the elements of a great idea
• Researching, developing and presenting an idea
• Telling a compelling story
• Giving and receiving feedback effectively
Every Portal Student will have an opportunity to be featured through a TED-Ed Student Talk!
